Lenny Schaeffer, the President of the Bearing Burners Car Club wanted a new look for his 1956 Chevy. Lenny has owned this car since receiving it as a high school graduation gift from his Grandfather. As the Body shop MANAGER at one of the large dealerships, Lenny knows that attention to detail is what separates average craftsmen from those that deliver award winning workmanship. Lenny came to All-Nu because of our reputation for the highest quality and most innovative work in New England. Comfort is just as important as style. Lenny wanted to change the interior from the typical pleated seats and stock door panels to a custom interior that reflected the classic styling but with a new twist. We began by drawing on the old seats and then removing the seat covers and cutting out the pattern to be used in the new seats. We replaced the springs and put in new foam to restore the seat height and improve the comfort. Lenny wanted the look of individual bucket seats in the front and rear but wanted to keep the bench seats intact. Not a problem. We designed the seats, cut the individual pieces, pleated the inserts, and stitched the seats back together. We used a synthetic leather that is almost impossible to tell from soft, supple glove leather but is more durable. Once the seats were done, we rebuilt the door panels and added some 3-D flames. What a difference! This car is taking top trophies every time Lenny and his wife Dana bring it to a show. When you see it at a show or a meet, look at the details that Lenny has put into the car and check out the interior. You will see why this beauty brings home the awards. Bring us your stock or plain looking seat and see what we can do for you.
